‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’: Michael Bay Reveals Two New Vehicles
While last year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wasn’t incredibly well received by critics, enough mainstream folks liked it enough to make almost half a billion dollars worldwide. Sure, story-wise, the film wasn’t the most sophisticated piece of entertainment to grace cinema screens, but at the end of the day, many would agree that it was a serviceable and relatively entertaining popcorn flick. Between the turtles themselves and their lovable personalities (not to mention the hundreds of millions they brought in), the studio saw enough merit in the franchise to warrant a sequel.
Even though we have a good year and a half before Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 hits theaters, we already have a decent chunk of information about the flick. So far, we know that Casey Jones will be making his debut this time around, along with Shredder’s henchmen Bebop and Rocksteady, who have yet to appear in any live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie to date. Now, producer Michael Bay has taken to Twitter to give fans another taste of the upcoming Turtles movie.

The first shot is that of a Polaris Slingshot. Unfortunately, there are no real details as to who this belongs to, and what importance it will have in the overall Turtles tale. One could speculate that it’ll be Stephen Amell’s Casey Jones who will drive the thing, but we really don’t have enough information to go off of. The remaining two pictures, however, are more worth talking about, as they show the turtles’ Party Wagon, which is a much-beloved vehicle in the animated series. While it seems clear that the garbage truck will serve as the Turtles’s mode of transportation, one has to wonder what happens to the vehicle introduced at the end of the first film.
So, will the vehicle at the end of the first film get destroyed at some point, paving the way for the new one, or will they simply ignore the old one’s existence? Given how large the turtles are in the movie, it makes sense that the filmmakers would want to give them a larger vehicle. It’s also possible that they’ll have multiple vehicles at their disposal, but we’ll see soon enough.
