Bruce Jenner’s Mother in Silence After Transgender Transformation Interview
Bruce Jenner’s interview about his transgender transformation left his mother, Esther Jenner, at the mercy of his emotion-filled words. Jenner’s talk with Diane Sawyer has caused the family a lot of extra publicity.
Esther Jenner is 88-years-old. She possibly thought that, in her many years, she’s heard and seen it all. While Jenner told Access Hollywood that she would not tune in to Bruce’s interview when it aired, Lady Jenner watched and learned that she had not quite heard “it all” yet.

As far as speaking with Bruce about the situation, his mother is in silence on the matter. Esther states very-well that she doesn’t want to even bring it up. Though, even while quiet about it, Jenner supports her son’s decision. As she told Access Hollywood, she thought things went well during Bruce’s tell-all. Jenner also praised her son’s courage while speaking to him directly via camera.
“I think that 20/20 and Diane Sawyer did a fabulous job. I think it was very educational and I hope to get more education…
…I want you to be happy, and I love you. I was very proud of you when you stood on that podium in Montreal – I never thought I could be more proud of you, but I’m learning I can be.”

Bruce Jenner’s interview set records for the show, as reports Nielsen Social. As it states in Variety, the numbers were huge.
“According to Nielsen Social, ‘Bruce Jenner: The Interview’ drew 972,000 tweets from 403,000 unique authors, ranking as the most social Friday telecast of all time, excluding sports. Sawyer’s interview with Jenner outperformed the prior record-holder, ABC’s ‘Megastunts: Highwire Over Niagara Falls — Live!’ in June 2012, by 155% in unique authors and by 237% in total tweets.”

Though the family is coping with both praise and backlash from the interview, they stick behind Bruce Jenner and “her” decision. Though there are possible trials ahead, it’s probably a huge weight off Jenner’s mind. Bruce’s transformation and courage to “tell all” are still receiving tweets via Twitter.
