Wendy Williams has been accused of hitting a new low after she trashed Bruce Jenner for going public with his plans to become a woman. Just Jared quotes Wendy Williams from her show.
“If this wasn’t an obligation due to my career, I wouldn’t watch. I feel duped by Bruce… I don’t feel duped because he’s turning into a woman. I feel duped because he’s the same fame whore as the rest of the family… Bruce has bigger fish to fry than turning into Belinda. He should have thought about [transitioning] before he had all the kids… Belinda, shame on you!”
Wendy Williams, who last week claimed Drake should be checked for worms after he kissed Madonna, has been highly criticized for her remarks. SheKnows describes Wendy Willams’ words as “ pathetic .”
“Wendy Williams made some super-mean and unnecessary comments about Bruce Jenner on her show today, and it will leave a really bad taste in your mouth. The talk-show host went off about the photos recently published that reportedly showed Jenner in a dress at his Malibu home and the rumors that he will reveal his male-to-female transition during his interview with Diane Sawyer tonight — and she said some incredibly intolerant, and intolerable, things.”
Wendy’s latest slam against Bruce Jenner is interesting, considering she defended him last year. The Huffington Post quoted Wendy’s positive words.
“I don’t know what Bruce is going through but I’m happy for him because there’s got to be nothing worse in a person’s life then to not be able to live in their own truth. Whether you’re gay, whether you’re transgender — whatever. Whatever it is.”
Williams also claimed that despite what people have said about her, she really is a friend to the LGBT community. Wendy Williams’ latest rampage against Bruce Jenner will, once again, make people debate where she truly stands. At least Miley Cyrus has Bruce Jenner’s back.
“Love the part of Bruce special educating people on trans terms. This is a new world so we all have new things to learn [love symbol] never be embarrassed!” Miley stated on Twitter .
Bruce Jenner would be happy to know that there are many more people praising his decision than insulting him. The world is definitely becoming more open-minded towards people who are different. Do you think Wendy Williams went too far with her statement? Tell us in the comments section.
