Amber Marchese’s Cancer Has Returned, ‘RHONJ’ Star Plans To ‘Go Forward Like Superwoman’

Amber Marchese has just received devastating news. According to an April 24 report by TMZ, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star and her husband have revealed she is battling cancer for a second time.

After testing was done on a lump Amber Marchese discovered weeks ago, the reality star was informed that her cancer has returned, six years after her breast cancer first diagnosis, which resulted in a double mastectomy.

Speaking to TMZ, Amber Marchese said that despite the tragic diagnosis, she is determined to stay positive and “go forward like Superwoman.”

Shortly after sharing her news, Amber Marchese’s rep released a statement to Radar Online.

“This is a shock to our team! And our hearts are truly with her and her family during this difficult time. Amber recently underwent surgery for a lump on her breast with the results confirmed: Amber has cancer and she will begin treatments and doctor visits for the weeks to come.”

Amber Marchese began starring on The Real Housewives of New Jersey during the show’s sixth season, which aired last year on Bravo. Marchese was added to the cast, along with twin Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano, after Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita left the series (Laurita returned mid-way through season 6).

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Amber Marchese spoke of her possible cancer return earlier this week on Facebook.

“I found another mass, in the same breast as my first diagnosis, this past Friday before Easter. I found it while relaxing on the couch watching a movie with my husband,” Amber Marchese wrote on her page on Monday, April 20.

“I lifted my arms over my head, touched the side of my breast (I am not sure what made me do that) and there it was. A small pea sized, somewhat bean shaped, lump.”

Amber Marchese went on to tell fans of the “hell” she’d been going through in recent weeks since discovering the mass. Earlier this month, she and her family and friends flew to the Bahamas, where they intended to have a fun and relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, the only thing on Amber Marchese’s mind was the possible findings, which would be awaiting her when she returned home.

Although the statistics were actually in her favor, Amber Marchese couldn’t help but prepare herself for the worse. And now, it appears the worse is exactly what has happened.
