‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’: BioWare Still Can’t Give An Exact Date For When The First DLC Will Land On PS4, Last-Gen Consoles

After launching as a timed exclusive only on Xbox One and PC earlier this year, owners of other gaming consoles are still waiting for the first DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition to become available across all platforms. After initially stating that part of the exclusivity contract with Microsoft that gave early access to the Jaws of Hakkon DLC on specific systems, BioWare revealed that the agreement also prevented them for discussing when the content would eventually head to the remaining editions of Dragon Age: Inquisition.

However, the developer quickly confirmed that the initial DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition would release on the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 at some point next month. As May quickly approaches, fans of the popular role-playing series are eager to hear details about exactly when the DLC will launch on other platforms. Unfortunately, Dragon Age: Inquisition executive producer Mark Darrah revealed on his personal Twitter account that they are still unable to discuss any further details on the add-on’s availability.

“I can’t be more specific, unfortunately.”

While Darrah didn’t specify why they still couldn’t talk about the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition‘s first DLC on additional consoles, it is assumed that the timed exclusivity deal that Electronic Arts signed with Microsoft has something to do with it.

In addition to getting access to the Jaws of Hakkon DLC across all platforms in May, Dragon Age: Inquisition fans will also be able to pick up a new lore book at the beginning of next month that provides detailed information on the franchise’s setting. Publisher Dark Horse set the release date for Dragon Age: The World of Thedas Volume 2 for May 6.

The second volume will include new entries on characters and locations that players discovered while playing Dragon Age: Inquisition. Pre-orders for hard cover editions of the book are now available.

“Newcomers will appreciate how this volume covers everything they need to know about the world and characters of these smash-hit games! Dedicated fans will revel in the abundance of never-before-revealed secrets in this perfect companion to Dragon Age: The World of Thedas Volume 1! From heroes and villains to songs and food, and everything in between, this book puts the breadth and depth of this inimitable fantasy at your fingertips.”

Hoping to expand the lore of series to include Dragon Age: Inquisition, BioWare also recently updated the Dragon Age Keep to include more selections from the third installment. An Inquisitr report pointed out that the update for the web-based app now gives players more control over selecting a Dragon Age world state within the Keep.

Do you still plan to pick up the Dragon Age: Inquisition DLC next month despite having to wait?
