Bruce Jenner Watching Interview With Kim Kardashian And ‘KUWTK’ Family — ‘I Hope I’m Gonna Be Okay’
Bruce Jenner’s much-talked about interview with Diane Sawyer airs tonight, and the former Olympian-turned-reality-star won’t be watching alone. Kim Kardashian-West, Jenner’s step-daughter, tells People that the entire Kardashian-Jenner family will view the two hour special together on Friday night.
West, who is in New York City to attend Variety’s Power of Women event, told reporters that she had nothing more to say about the interview that is rumored to be about Jenner’s decision to transition to a woman, and that she would “let the special come out and speak for itself.”
Bruce Jenner: The Interview with Diane Sawyer is scheduled to air at 9 p.m. ET on the ABC network, or live streaming via the Watch ABC app. It’s being dubbed the “event of the season” by New York Daily News, with viewing parties planned across the nation for what is assumed to be Jenner’s big reveal as a woman.

Even Kim Kardashian’s best friend, Jonathan Cheban, plans to watch the Jenner interview, but it’s not clear if he’ll be watching with Bruce and his family. Cheban tells the Daily News, “Of course I am going to watch it. I am anticipating it myself. I think I’d be the only one in the world not watching it.”
Viewing parties and transgender gossip aside, the months leading up to the Diane Sawyer interview with Bruce Jenner have not been easy for the very public Kardashian-Jenner clan. In a previous report from People, an insider states that the family “went through a rough patch” when Bruce told them “he is transgender.”
“The family had already been rocked by Jenner’s divorce from ex-wife Kris after 23 years of marriage, and in the nearly two months since Jenner, 65, made headlines with the news that he is transitioning from male to female, his 10 children and stepchildren have processed the change in different ways.”
In a promo video released by ABC, Jenner says that his family is his main concern, telling Sawyer that he doesn’t want to hurt his six children and four step children.
“I can’t let myself hurt them… I hope I’m gonna be okay. I feel like I’m gonna be okay. 2015’s gonna be quite a ride. Quite a ride.”
