Bobbi Kristina Latest: Bobby Brown ‘In Denial’ About Daughter, Says Expert As Insider Says She Tried To Kill Herself

Bobby Brown is “in denial” about what the future holds for Bobbi Kristina Brown, according to an expert. The 22-year-old daughter of Bobby and Whitney Houston has been in a hospital and long-term care facility since Jan. 31, when she was found unconscious in her home, and family members’ reports on her condition have ranged from “global brain damage” to “awake,” reported Yahoo.

About one week ago, Brown received cheers during a concert from the audience when he proclaimed his daughter as “awake.” But a psychiatrist says he’s deluding himself.

“At this point, he’s clearly in denial about what’s going on,” said Lawrence Genen MD MBA, a psychiatrist and diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Moreover, said Dr. Genen, Bobby is postponing his grieving by holding onto hope.

“Obviously she is still alive there, but what degree is she really [alive]? And the longer you remain ambiguous, it really does delay the natural grieving process.”

However, Bobby was clearly emotional at the concert when discussing Bobbi Kristina.

“She’s watching me,” insisted the singer.

But Genen emphasizes that seeking a sign of a medical miracle could cause the illusion.

“[Brown is] looking for any sign that the person you knew and loved and cared for is still in there,” said the psychiatrist.

However, Cissy Houston described a very different reality for her granddaughter, as the Inquisitr reported.

“I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive.”

And the mother of Whitney Houston expressed her heartbreak at losing first her daughter and now, with no response from her, her 22-year-old granddaughter.

“Understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers,” added Houston.

But as more detail on Bobbi Kristina‘s condition becomes available, a new insider is stepping forward to shed light on what happened before her boyfriend Nick Gordon found her unconscious in the home that they shared, reported Extra.

Jack Walker is Gordon’s brother, and he says that he introduced Bobbi Kristina and Nick.

“I was 12 years old when I met Kris [Bobbi Kristina],” he revealed. “We hung out a lot, then I found out she was friends with his ex-girlfriend. At that point in time, we all started hanging out together.”

But over the years, Walker was shocked at the drugs that Bobbi Kristina and Gordon used. As a result, he separated from the two.

“I let them know I wasn’t comfortable with it, I didn’t like being around them like that,” recalled Jack.

However, he was aware of what the relationship was like between the two, and he feels that Bobbi Kristina suffered from depression as well as drug addiction.

As a result, Walker contends that Bobbi Kristina tried to kill herself.

“I just feel like she… she just was fed up with everything that’s going on in her life,” he concluded.
