Season 6 Premiere Date Announced: ‘Teen Mom 2’ Returns In July
A season six premiere date has officially been set for Teen Mom 2. Months after Jenelle Evans, Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer-Calvert and Chelsea Houska began filming, the network announced news of a Season 6 premiere during the recent Upfront presentation.
On April 21, MTV released the following statement in regard to Teen Mom 2 Season 6 premiere, via Deadline.
“MTV’s groundbreaking docu-series, ‘Teen Mom 2,’ returns for its highly-anticipated sixth season which follows Chelsea, Jenelle, Kailyn and Leah as they continue to navigate their complicated lives as young moms.”
During the Teen Mom 2 Season 6 premiere, fans can expect to see plenty of drama with the ladies.
Jenelle Evans has been through the ringer since fans last saw her. Although her year started off well, with the news of her and Nathan Griffith’s engagement, which was reportedly filmed for Season 6, and could be a part of the Season 6 premiere, things quickly took a turn for the worse. Following a blow-out fight in early March, which resulted in the filmed arrest of Griffith, Evans and her fiancé ended their engagement and their relationship. In the weeks since, Griffith has reportedly moved on, which hasn’t sat well with Evans.
Kailyn Lowry and her husband, Javi Marroquin, continue to enjoy married life, and are currently planning to move. Although the couple has had their ups and downs, they appear to be doing well, and keeping their online drama to a minimum. Lowry’s ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend, Vee, will also be included in the Season 6 premiere, and recently announced they were expecting their first child together.
Leah Messer-Calvert, who fans saw struggling with her marriage during Season 5, will see her second marriage to Jeremy Calvert come to an end. As the Inquisitr previously reported, the reality star was recently served with divorce papers, which could lead to yet another custody battle (Messer-Calvert was faced with a custody battle regarding her twins, Ali and Aleeah, during Season 5). The Season 5 premiere will likely show the moments leading up to Messer-Calvert’s marriage fallout.

As for Chelsea Houska, she’s been living a much more low-profile life. Although she frequently shares photos on social media, she’s kept her life, and new relationship with Cole DeBoer, somewhat private.
The Teen Mom 2 Season 6 premiere will air on MTV on Thursday, July 9, at 10 p.m.
