Michele Bachmann Warns The End Times Are Near, Blames Obama
Like many of her former Republican colleagues in the United States House of Representatives, Michele Bachmann has been openly critical of President Barack Obama and his policies. But Bachmann took her critiques of the president to a new level last week when she claimed that the Rapture is coming, and it’s all thanks to Obama’s policies.
Considering Bachmann revealed her views in the radio show called “End Times,” hosted by Jan Markell, perhaps her revelation shouldn’t be such a surprise. After warning her host and listeners about “how close this clock is getting towards the midnight hour,” Bachmann went on to compare the coming of the rapture to giving birth.
“It’s just like the Bible forewarned: in the last days it will be like the beginning of birth pangs. In my opinion, we are far beyond the beginning of birth pangs. We’re moving far down into the process. For women who are listening to this show today, you know what I’m talking about. What it’s like to deliver a baby at the very beginning stages and then at the very end before the baby is born. All I can tell you as a mom who has given birth to five babies, the birth pangs are very close together, they are very intense now and we are literally watching month by month the speed move up to a level we’ve never seen before with these events. Barack Obama is intent, it is his number one goal, to ensure that Iran has a nuclear weapon. Why? Why would you put the nuclear weapon in the hands of mad men?”
Bachmann is referring to the deal Obama has reached with Iran over the country’s nuclear weapons program. The deal is controversial, with many relieved that a peaceful option is within reach, while others believe that the deal, which will be enforced in concert with an international coalition, is too lenient and will simply embolden Iran even further.
Bachmann believes that the deal was an intentional effort on the part of the President of the United States to guarantee that Iran has a nuclear weapon, and that, by doing so, Obama is ushering in the Rapture.
“If you look at the president’s rhetoric, and if you look at his actions, everything he has done has been to cut the legs out of Israel and lift up the agenda of radical Islam,” Bachmann says.
But it isn’t just Obama’s foreign policies that may be bringing Jesus back to earth, Bachmann says — some of the president’s domestic policies are inciting the Rapture, as well. Abortion and gay marriage are causing God to punish the United States “for embracing a pagan view,” Bachmann believes.
Show host Markell said, in the interview with Bachmann, that she believes the rise of abortions, as well as the legalization of gay marriage in America, will create wrath from God as the “policies that we continue to do that violate His principles.”
Bachmann agreed wholeheartedly, although the abortion rate in the United States has reached the lowest point since 1973.
“Well, you are right. The blessings and the cursing that he speaks about in the Bible aren’t true just for the day they’re written, they’re also true for all people, in all tribes, in all times … Obedience brings about His blessings.”
Bachmann added, “Any nation that accepts God and his principles is blessed, and those who push away are cursed. That’s what we’re seeing happen to the United States. We will suffer the consequences as a result.”
Michele Bachmann is no stranger to controversial views, and has never been one to shy away from expressing them. Recently, she came under fire for comparing President Obama to a suicidal mass murderer. For more on that story, click here.
