Watch Real Madrid Vs. Atlético Madrid Live Stream, UCL Quarterfinals Second Leg
Watch Real Madrid vs. Atlético Madrid live stream in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals to see if Cristiano Ronaldo and his teammates can overcome their cross-town rivals.
Despite the disappointing 0-0 draw in the first leg, at home, Real Madrid is confident they can continue their impressive La Liga campaign, but can they put away Atlético Madrid? It will be difficult, because of a series of key injuries.
Gareth Bale had to leave the game against Málaga on Saturday after only five minutes of play. On Monday, Real Madrid issued a statement explaining Bale has been diagnosed with a “muscular injury in his left soleus” and will sit out the second leg of the UCL quarterfinal. ESPN reports the 25-year-old could be sidelined for up to three weeks.
Additionally, another midfielder, Croatian Luka Modric will not be available due to a knee ligament strain suffered against Málaga as well. Modric is expected to be unavailable for six weeks. Real Madrid’s striker Karim Benzema is also questionable after missing the Málaga match with a knee injury. Marcelo is also suspended after two yellow cards.
If you watch Real Madrid vs. Atlético Madrid live stream, you can see if Los Blancos’ manager Carlo Ancelotti can overcome the sudden injuries in his key players. The team will, no doubt, have to adjust and make some changes, but luckily they have a deep bench and of course Ronaldo and James Rodriguez.
Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone will have striker Mario Mandzukic back, after he missed Saturday’s win against Deportivo La Coruña with an ankle problem, according to BBC. However, Mario Suarez is suspended and will not play in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal Wednesday.
Simeone is looking for revenge, as the quarterfinal is a repeat of last year’s final, which Atlético Madrid lost 1-4, giving Los Blancos La Décima, their 10th UEFA Champions League title in Lisbon. This makes them the winningest team in the history of the tournament.
It will be interesting to see how the bitter rivals do in this crucial match. Since the first leg was a draw, whoever wins this the second leg will be the victor in the aggregate. With all the injuries plaguing Real Madrid it won’t be surprising if they fall to Atlético Madrid, who will be playing at home.
