Dennis Quaid’s Wife Files For Divorce
Dennis Quaid’s wife has filed for divorce, this according to TMZ. After over 7 years of marriage, the actor’s wife, Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, has decided to call it quits. She is also demanding that Dennis pay for her attorney fees, as well as provide her with spousal support.
So what caused this irreparable split? According to Kimberly’s divorce petition, “The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities … that destroys the legitimate ends of the marriage relationship and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
This is not the first time the couple has made headlines together. In 2007, Dennis and Kimberly came close to losing their twins at birth, due to a mistake made at Cedars Sinai Medical-Center. Luckily, the children made it through the horrific accident, but unfortunately their parents couldn’t make it through the marriage.
The twins, Zoe Grace and Thomas Boone, are now four years old. Currently, Dennis and Kimberly will be allowed to spend the same amount of time with their children, due to a temporary custody order that has been issued. The order forbids either of the parents from taking the children out of the state or removing them from school.
It also has been reported that Dennis has been ordered to stay in the couple’s condo with the Cadillac Escalade, while Kimberly will remain in their home, with access to the Mercedes. With that deal, it doesn’t look as if either party is losing out. However, Kimberly reportedly wants half of everything, and the ‘Vantage Point’ actor wants her to get nothing.
Dennis’ longest marriage to date was to actress Meg Ryan, who he remained with for ten years before they divorced. He was also married to actress P.J. Soles for just over 4 years.
