Selena Gomez Gets Fat-Shamed, Retaliates With Sexy Polka Dot Bikini
Last week, Selena Gomez received flak from body shamers as she showed off her new curves in revealing swimwear. Though she could’ve blasted her critics to defend herself, the 22-year-old singer decided to play it cool by not letting all the negativity get to her.

Last Sunday, Gomez was photographed again in another sexy number as she continues to enjoy her Mexican getaway with some close friends. Arriving at the beach with boogie boards and inflatable water rings, the singer was captured on camera wearing a ruffled polka dot bikini top. Gomez was showing off some major cleavage but she kept it conservative by pairing the revealing top with a pair of black shorts.

It is clear in the former Disney star’s Instagram account that she is not letting negativity ruin her vacation. Sharing a photo of her and her friends at a Mexican bar, Gomez said, “We decided as a family to come to Mexico to be inspired … That’s exactly what happened.”
Last year, Gomez struggled with some undisclosed issues and spent a couple of weeks in rehab. Later, she confessed that she was experiencing a great deal of pressure to become someone she is not. She admitted to giving in to the pressure and losing sight of who she really is.
“I listened to opinions of people and I tried to change who I am because I thought that others would accept me for it.”
Fortunately, the singer seems to have gotten past her personal issues. According to an insider, Gomez now feels more confident and “sexier than she’s ever felt.”
Her newfound confidence is also evident in her social media posts. In one of Gomez’s recent pictures in Mexico, a happier version of the young artist can be seen lying on a lounge chair by the poolside. Wearing a flattering one piece swimsuit, Gomez was shown covering up a smile on her face with her hands. She then captioned the snap with, “I love being happy with me yall #theresmoretolove.”
The singer is so confident in her new curves that a source even claimed that she is trying to send out a message to both ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber and current boyfriend Zedd by flaunting it off.
The source revealed that Gomez feels so much better about her body and that she wants the two of them to see it in her photos.
