Kim Richards Arrested: Kim’s Apparent Relapse And Subsequent Arrest Could Cost Her ‘RHOBH’ Gig

Kim Richards was arrested for public intoxication and has been charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer, and battery on an officer (she allegedly kicked a cop). Now, many are wondering if Kim’s apparent relapse will result in the loss of her “job” on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. According to TMZ, Bravo producers have not yet made a decision about whether or not to offer Kim a spot on Season 6.

“Some production sources says Kim’s substance abuse problem has been in full bloom all season. Several members of the cast and crew say they’ve watched Kim present a public picture of sobriety, but when the cameras are off she goes off the rails. But other production sources tell us Kim actually did better this season in the sobriety department than she’s done in years. They also think it’s hypocritical for producers to turn their back on Kim now… they say if she was such a problem she shouldn’t have been exploited all year.”

After Kim Richards was arrested, several people became curious about her sobriety and wondered if she had fallen off the wagon long before this arrest. Since her sobriety really was a focus through much of Season 5, fans are now looking back on previous episodes and trying to see if there were clear warning signs about Kim’s condition.

According to Reality Tea, letting Kim go might not be such a bad thing for Bravo.

“Kim has caused a lot of issues since joining RHOBH – and there’s been several rumors that Kyle Richards has gone to bat for her and made deals with the network to keep Kim employed, despite her inability to show up for filming and her unstable behavior.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Bravo wants Kim to get the help she needs, and sources say that the network will not bring her back unless she goes to rehab.

“There’s no interest in putting her back on television unless she’s addressed her issues. The show didn’t trigger her addiction – and her recovery also needs to happen outside of it.”

Now that Kim Richards has been arrested, her truth is public, and people have been formulating all kinds of opinions about her. While it may be worthwhile for Bravo to give her a platform to speak about what’s really going on in her life, it’s also tough because Kim needs help, and Bravo has to be careful not to enable her in any way.
