Elisabeth Moss Dishes on Divorce With Fred Armisen

Elisabeth Moss, star of hit show Mad Men, has largely kept quiet–at least publicly–on her 2011 divorce with Saturday Night Live star Fred Armisen, but now the actress is opening up.

In the New York Post’s Page Six magazine, Moss publicly opened up for the first time about her divorce from Armisen, a divorce that she described as being painful. “It’s so hard to talk about,” Moss told Page Six before dishing on the divorce for the first time.

“One of the greatest things I heard someone say about him is, ‘He’s so great at doing impersonations. But the greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person.’ To me, that sums it up.”

“And I think that’s…that’s it,” Moss said, adding, “I’ve never told anyone that. And I don’t want to waste any more of my life talking about it.”

When asked if Moss maintained contact with Armisen after their divorce, the actress was quick to answer with a resounding “no”, adding that she’s very much enjoying her single life.

“I obviously want a partner in life, and I want someone to grow old with, but there’s also a nice time when you’re young to enjoy being you. It’s fun to go out at night and not know what’s going to happen,” she adds cheekily. “I’m addicted to and obsessed with my freedom in that sense. I’m having fun!”
