Ariana Grande And Big Sean Call It Quits, Find Out Why
Well, that was fast. After a rumored relationship turned serious, rapper Big Sean and singer Ariana Grande have decided to split after eight months of dating.
According to US Weekly both of their reps confirmed this news of their split by releasing a typical formal statement.
“They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends. We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time.”
As expected, their split is due to the fact that they have extremely busy schedules. Big Sean just dropped his new album, and Ariana Grande is currently touring in support of hers. A source close to the couple confirmed this speculation by stating, “They made the decision to part ways because their conflicting touring schedules would keep them apart over the next year.”
After they confirmed their relationship, Big Sean had a lot to say about his collaborator and love Ariana Grande.
“That’s bae right there. And it was just like simple. I appreciated her for being down to do a song that ain’t got nothin’ to do with me and her. Sometimes I feel like when you got your girl and you got her on a song and you’re rapping about each other, it can be cool sometimes and sometimes it can be like, ‘OK, we get it.'”
He continued to speak about their duet for the song “Research”.
“But I appreciate her because that concept of ‘Research’ is so real and relevant for a lot of people. Even if it’s not necessarily real and relevant to me and her and our situation; I can’t speak for her, but I’ve surely been through situations like that. I feel like we all have. And it was cool to just get that idea off.”
Prior to his relationship with Ariana, Big Sean was engaged to Glee star Naya Rivera, while Grande was in a relationship with Jai Brooks. When Grande and Brooks broke up Jai opened up in an interview with CapitalFM about the end of their relationship.
“I’m not going to let emotions get in the way of anything, that’s for sure, because we are too damn busy right now and I’m just moving on, chilling with the boys, getting closer with our fans. So yeah, I’m okay.”
