‘Once Upon A Time’ Renewed For Season 5, Even Though ABC Hasn’t Officially Said Anything
While ABC and the creators of Once Upon A Time have yet to officially reveal if fans will get a fifth season, it appears that the show will continue.
Actor Josh Dallas, who plays Prince Charming, was on KTLA to talk to Sam Rubin about the series and how he met his wife, Ginnifer Goodwin, on the set. Toward the end of the interview, Rubin mentioned that Once Upon a Time will return for another season, and then asked Dallas when filming would start. Dallas replied by saying July would be the month that filming begins.
Dallas may have accidentally slipped out some confidential information after Rubin said the show was coming back. Neither ABC nor the showrunners have revealed if Once Upon a Time has been officially renewed. But an ABC representative did tell TV by the Numbers that the show was likely to get renewed, despite a dip in the ratings.
While ABC and the show’s creators have not come forward to officially announce the renewal, Once Upon a Time fans are certainly excited by the news.

This Sunday’s episode will focus on Cruella De Vil and will show her “happy ending.” As the Inquisitr previously reported, co-creator Adam Horowitz, who likes to tease the Once Upon a Time fans, said it may be something unexpected.
“There may have been some hints [throughout the season], but our hope is that what it actually turns out to be will be a surprise to everyone. It’s a story that we had a lot of fun concocting, and we think that Victoria [Smurfit] is spectacular in that episode.”
Co-creator Edward Kitsis also mentioned that the upcoming episode is one of his favorites.
“It’s probably one of my personal — this is just my opinion! — top five favorite episodes of [Once Upon a Time], ever.”
There are only a few weeks left until Once Upon a Time wraps up this season. As TV Guide reports, the finale is a two-part episode that airs Sunday, May 10, at 8 p.m.
