‘Criminal Minds’ Spoilers: An UnSub Who Controls Minds And Meg In Trouble In The Season Finale
Criminal Minds Season 10 is winding down, and what better way to end it than with a creepy case directed by Matthew Gray Gubler and a cliffhanger involving a team member’s loved one for the last few episodes? That’s exactly what’s happening. Plus, there are some more spoilers out about Reid’s love life and what that coffee date he set with Agent Dorian Loker really means.
First up, as Criminal Minds fans have likely realized over the years, when Matthew Gray Gubler takes a turn behind the camera to direct an episode, there’s likely a horror element to it and there’s going to be some creepy visuals. Well, with the upcoming “Mr. Scratch,” that’s once again true. The episode will see the BAU investigate when three people implicated in murders claim they were attacked by a clawed shadow monster at the moment that each crime occurred, and the team searches for an UnSub who is controlling their minds. The search for the UnSub puts one of the team in danger.
Showrunner Erica Messer told TVLine that the promos for this episode “will make the audience crazy” and “people are going to lose their minds.”
Well, as you can see from the promo below, that’s very, very true. The UnSub is killing by proxy, but Hotch isn’t really going to shoot at his team, is he?
As for the upcoming season finale, it all begins with the penultimate episode, as Messer told Entertainment Weekly. Yes, the whole kidnapping people and putting them up in an auction online is going to become the focus.
“By the end of episode 22, we do a mini cliffhanger in that we know that Meg and her best friend are being kidnapped by the guy we saw in the premiere.”
Remember, Meg and her friend have been chatting with a guy online, and the only reason they haven’t been kidnapped yet is that Chris, Kate’s husband, spied on them when they went to meet him. The guy was scared off, but he had the rope in his van, ready to take the girls.
Finally, as the Inquisitr previously reported, nothing further is going to happen when it comes to Reid’s love life in Criminal Minds Season 10. Messer explained to TV Guide that the date was more about Reid being in the right place after losing Maeve to even go on that date.
“It’s been two years. Maeve is something that will never go away in his heart. We want him to smile again and we think everybody else does too. The fact that this quirky agent who speaks Russian is somebody he’d like to have coffee with – good on him. That’s a great thing.”
That still doesn’t mean that Dorian will necessarily be back, but it’s a big step for Reid.
Criminal Minds Season 10 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
