Randy Moss Impresses During New Orleans Saints Workout
Randy Moss had a lot to prove during his workout with the New Orleans Saints this week and experts seem to agree that Mr. Moss looked a lot like the “old Randy.”
Speaking about Moss’ performance Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer tweeted that Randy ran approximately 45 routes, nothing that his workout “couldn’t have gone better.”
The New Orleans Saints haven’t announced any plans to sign Randy Moss to a deal however wide receivers Marques Colston and Robert Meachem are entering free agency which could leave the team with at least one WR hole to fill.
Speaking of his players workout agent Joel Segal said:
“Randy had an outstanding workout, as expected. He’s in phenomenal shape.”
Moss hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2010 when he bounced from the New England Patriots to the Minnesota Vikings and eventually to the Tennessee Titans. On his 35th birthday the former Pro Bowl receiver announced his hopeful return to the NFL.
Moss’ career was impressive before his retirement, racking up 153 touchdowns (second only to Terrell Owens), while his 29 touchdowns of at least 50 yards are only bettered by Jerry Rice (36). During his first run in the NFL Moss led the league in touchdowns five times and was selected to six Pro Bowl teams.
On the other hand Moss’ horrendous attitude has made him a gamble for any NFL team. Moss once declared that when the ball wasn’t coming his way he didn’t try, proclaiming:
“I play when I want to play.”
Do you think Randy Moss would be a welcomed edition for the New Orleans Saints?
