Michele Bachmann: Iran Nuke Deal Will Bring About Christ’s Return

Former Congresswoman Michele Bachmann said in a radio interview Sunday that the Iran nuclear deal will make Christ’s return “imminent,” Raw Story is reporting.

Christians believe that Jesus Christ will return to Earth at some point, and with his return, the End Times will occur. The specifics are a matter of intense debate within various Christian sects, and aren’t really the purview of the Inquisitr, so we’ll avoid turning this post into a theological debate and instead focus on Michele’s angle.

Michele Bachmann, being an outspoken fundamentalist Christian herself, fervently believes in Jesus Christ’s return, and the End Times, and all that. And she told Christian radio broadcast Understanding the Times with Jan Markell on Sunday just what she thinks will get the ball rolling: Barack Obama generally, and the Iran nuclear deal specifically. Referring to the recent deal, Bachmann said as follows.

“If we actually turn our back on Israel as we have seen Barack Obama do today, if that happens then I think we will see a scale and a level of push back in the United States, negative consequences.”

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the recent Iran nuclear deal, worked out by Barack Obama, can be seen as unfavorable to Israel. In fact, it could eventually lead to an Israel-Iran nuclear war, depending on whom you ask. It does not, however, mention Jesus Christ.

And Michele Bachmann blames Barack Obama and the nuke deal for putting Israel in a position to be destroyed, and thus fulfill some Biblical prophecy or another.

“The United States does not want to be in that position and unfortunately the people put into office Barack Obama. Not only once, but twice.”

Even though she opposes Obama and the Iran nuke deal, Bachmann apparently regards it as a good thing that the president has set the ball rolling on the end of the world, according to Right Wing Watch.

“These are not fearful times, these are the most exciting days in history. Talk about what you see in the newspaper. We can talk about God’s time clock and the fact that Jesus Christ’s return is imminent. Is there anything more important to talk about? We have very little time — in my opinion — left before the second return of Christ. That’s good news!”
