New Duggar Courtship! See Which Duggar Is Falling In Chaperoned Love

It looks like another Duggar is entering the world of chaperoned side-hugs on the road to marriage with an official courtship — and it’s probably not who you think it is!

After Duggar daughters Jill and Jessa respectively married their husbands Derick Dillard and Ben Seeewald, there was much speculation on who would be the next Duggar to enter a courtship. John David, 24, and his twin sister Jana topped the list, and for a time, rumors abounded that Jana Duggar had entered into a courtship with famed football player Tim Tebow, although that turned out to be untrue. However, it seems certain that Duggar fans have been rooting for Jana, known as the “Cinderella Duggar” because of the way she works so hard for the Duggars while remaining in the background, to be the next to find love.

But it isn’t Jana. Or John David. Or even Jinger, who is now 20.

Instead, Josiah Duggar, 18, who hasn’t even been on the “courtship” radar in the Duggar family, told People magazine in an exclusive interview that he has officially entered a courtship with a lovely young lady named Marjorie Jackson, 17.

Josiah met Marjorie several years ago, while taking Spanish lessons from her mother, Analucia. The two didn’t begin officially courting, however, until April 6 — the day that Josiah’s sister Jill and her husband Derick welcomed their much-awaited newborn son Israel David into the ever-expanding Duggar family, coincidentally.

“It’s been going very well,” Josiah said in his interview with People magazine. “I met Marjorie a few years ago, when I was taking Spanish lessons at her house and I was very impressed with the way she was with her siblings and her love for the Lord.”

Marjorie is one of five children — all girls — born to Analucia and her husband Greg.

But although he was impressed with Marjorie while receiving Spanish lessons from her mother, it wasn’t until the two were both on a mission trip to El Salvador last December that Josiah Duggar, who works for his father’s construction company, went from being impressed to enchanted.

“She really caught my eye,” Josiah says. “That is really where I noticed her.”

Not so for Marjorie — she knew long before the mission trip that she liked Josiah. Marjorie People that she’s liked Josiah for several years. In fact, Marjorie says her attraction and admiration for Josiah Duggar happened right away.

“For me it was an immediate thing, I have always admired him and his family.”

So, it seems as if fans of 19 Kids and Counting can look forward to watching another Duggar fall in love, with all the side-hugs and chaperoned dates that come along with it, and — who knows? Maybe wedding bells will be ringing for another Duggar soon!
