Matthew Baier Supports Fiance Amber Portwood On First Day Of School

Matthew Baier supported his fiancé, Teen Mom star Amber Portwood, on Twitter on Tuesday night. Following the reality star mom’s first day of school, Baier sent a sweet tweet to his soon-to-be wife.

On April 7, Matthew Baier posted the following message on Twitter.

“So cool 2 watch @AmberLPortwood do homework on her 1st day of school. So lucky 2 share life with someone so amazing #shewillchangetheworld.”

In response, Portwood told Matthew Baier, “Awe babe love you.”

Earlier this week, Matthew Baier’s fiancé, Portwood, revealed she was majoring in “Behavioral Science, which includes sociology and psychology courses.”

Matthew Baier began dating Portwood in 2014, following her November 2013 release from prison. As fans of Teen Mom will recall, Portwood entered prison in June of 2012 after voluntarily violating her probation in an effort to permanently kick her addiction to drugs. After spending 17 months behind bars, Portwood, who participated in several programs in prison, including a drug rehab program and choir, was granted an early release.

For the first several months of their relationship, Portwood and Matthew Baier kept their romance a secret from Teen Mom fans. Although Portwood revealed she was dating someone in mid-2014, Matthew Baier’s identity wasn’t revealed until a few months later.

Then, during filming on Teen Mom OG, Matthew Baier proposed to Portwood, and she accepted.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Matthew Baier and Portwood are currently planning to tie the knot in a private ceremony. While reports have claimed the couple want their nuptials featured on Teen Mom OG, a new source claims that is not the case.

A televised wedding “has never even been discussed” with MTV, the source revealed to Radar Online on April 9. “Amber wants the wedding to be very private. Only her close friends and family will be invited.”

While Portwood has decided on a few things for her wedding to Matthew Baier, there’s still a lot to do, and she’s in no rush.

“Between filming, school and promoting her book, Amber has been extremely busy. She wants to decompress at home in Indiana and really take the time to plan something special. She wants it to be perfect.”

According to Radar Online, Portwood and Matthew Baier’s wedding will take place in Indiana with several family members, including daughter Leah, brother Shawn, and cousin Krystal.
