Jennie Garth Engaged: Actress Is Engaged To Man She’s Dated A Few Months
Many are shocked to hear that Jennie Garth is engaged to a new man after her ex-husband, Peter Facinelli, announced his engagement a few weeks ago. Jennie is engaged to a man she’s been seeing a few months — David Abrams.
On April 3, Abrams tweeted a Happy Birthday message to Garth, writing, “Happy Birthday @jenniegarth #loveumoreandmoreeachday.”
The two were in Mexico at the Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa celebrating her birthday with Jennie and Peter’s three daughters, Luca, 17, Lola, 12, and Fiona, 8. Us Weekly confirms that Garth is engaged to Abrams. The celebrity news source also reported in January that the couple were in a relationship. Insiders told Us that they spent Christmas together and that Jennie’s parents had already met David.
Garth was married to Facinelli for 11 years before they divorced. Facinelli is engaged to actress Jaimie Alexander, whom he’s been dating since November of 2012.
People magazine has its own sources revealing that Jennie Garth is engaged to David Abrams. One insider tells the magazine that Abrams wanted to make his proposal special and near Jennie’s birthday.
“Dave had been working on this for months, and really wanted to plan something special for her around her birthday and make it perfect.”
This will be Garth’s second marriage. She and Abrams appear to be happy together and in love despite their short time in dating.
As E! News reminds readers, Jennie told Bethenny Frankel that being a single parent is “super challenging” and that she thought she’d jump into it doing “great,” but made mistakes along the way.
“I’ve had to go through a lot. You have to find your way and stumble and make mistakes. I think that’s the only way you learn how to do it is by making mistakes, unfortunately. I expected to come out of it and just be great at it.”
As for the dating, Garth didn’t like it too much. In 2013, she called it “torture,” but that it could be “fun” as well.
“It’s fun and it’s awful all at the same time. It’s like a weird type of torture, but it can be fun.”
Jennie’s dating days may finally be over for good. Did she find the right man to be a stepfather to her daughters as well as a great husband? Like a handful of Hollywood marriages, her divorce from Peter Facinelli came as a surprise. It does seem like a big coincidence that Jennie Garth gets engaged just weeks after her ex-husband announced his engagement. That could be all it is, however — a coincidence.
