‘The Originals’ Spoilers: Preparing For Dahlia’s Arrival, Plus Claire Holt Possibly Returning
Rebekah’s future may have been in great danger in the latest Originals episode, but she made it through — and Claire Holt has shared some promising words about her future on the CW series, despite being part of the new NBC show, Aquarius.
In this week’s Originals episode, it took some magic, Freya, Klaus and Elijah to help Rebekah when Eva took control of her body, and throughout “Exquisite Corpse,” trust issues were at the forefront for everyone. Who was helping? Who was trying to hurt someone else? Who was maybe helping or maybe just trying to learn secrets? In other words, it was just another day in New Orleans for the Originals, vampires, hybrids and witches.
In the end, Rebekah survived, but she has yet to return to her original body. Could that happen soon? Will Claire Holt return? The actress told E! News that she does have plans to return.
“They’ve been really great with Aquarius, in sharing, so I hope I can continue to do both in some capacity. Definitely, when I can, I am going to venture back to that world.”
Holt also talked about Maisie Richardson-Sellers’ performance as Rebekah.
“She’s doing a great job. Maybe a little too good. I was hoping she wouldn’t be so good.”
But first things first, it’s a good thing that Rebekah is in a witch’s body at the moment because Dahlia is a real threat. In the next episode of The Originals, “Night Has a Thousand Eyes,” Dahlia arrives in New Orleans. Klaus is desperate to find a way to vanquish her, but she won’t be the only threat; there’s still Mikael to consider. While Hayley and Rebekah work with Freya to track Dahlia, Elijah and Marcel are going to turn to Josephine for help preparing a safe house in Algiers. Plus, Jackson comes up with a risky idea to protect Hayley and Hope that leaves Hayley conflicted, and Aiden is torn between his loyalty to Jackson and his secret alliance with Klaus.
ETonline has shared a sneak peek from this next episode of The Originals showing Elijah and Marcel asking — but not really asking — Josephine to cast a spell to turn what was once neutral ground for both their communities into a place where magic cannot be used. She knows there’s a great threat coming, and she empathizes, but she refuses to do anything that will leave her kind helpless.
“Then I do hope you understand that anyone willing to stand outside and allow my family to be threatened, I would be forced to consider an enemy,” Elijah warns her.
