Julianne Hough Has Pink Hair Now: See The Latest Celebrity Member Of The My Little Pony Hair Club

It looks like Julianne Hough decided to celebrate Easter by dying her hair the same pretty pastel pink color as an Easter egg. However, the latest member of Hollywood’s ever-expanding My Little Pony hair club revealed that Easter wasn’t the inspiration behind her new hair hue — she decided to think pink because it’s “the color of kindness.” This is definitely good news for the celebrities competing on Dancing with the Stars.

According to Us Weekly, Julianne Hough recently showed off her pretty pink bob on her blog. The Dancing with the Stars judge wrote that she felt like it was time to “shake things up,” and what better time to go pastel than Spring? As you can see, the pink really makes Julianne’s blue eyes pop.

On her website, Julianne Hough is kind enough to share a few helpful tips for going pastel, and she admits that becoming Princess Bubblegum isn’t easy. To make the unnatural color look as vibrant as possible, the hair must first be dyed a white blonde color. Julianne advises wannabe unicorns to visit a professional before going pink, turquoise, or lavender.

Julianne also points out that it’s important to take eye color and skin color into consideration when choosing a YOLO hue like pink or blue.

“Something about purple hair and green eyes always works. Blue eyes can pull off pink so well. With brown eyes it really depends on skin tone, but they have the most potential to pull off all colors. A side note for you au natural ladies: you may feel the need to wear more makeup than usual with rainbow colored hair. Very few unicorns are able to pull off the undone/natural look.”

The pink hair trend seems to come and go in Hollywood. Previous pink ladies include Gwen Stefani, Katy Perry, Pink (obviously), and even Helen Mirren. The pink trend isn’t big right now, but other pastel colors have started to catch on with celebrities — Kelly Osbourne, Nicole Richie, and Debby Ryan have all rocked lavender locks. However, the most current celebrity trend du jour seems to be bright blue hues. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Hilary Duff and Kylie Jenner both recently experimented with turquoise tresses worthy of wannabe mermaids. And according to MTV News, Amber Rose also went aqua recently.
