‘RHONY’ Sonja Morgan Says Ramona Singer Is ‘NEVER’ There For Her

It seems that viewers will see some tension between Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer on the season 7 episodes of The Real Housewives of New York City. In an interview with All About the Tea that was posted on Tuesday morning, Sonja blasted Ramona for not being supportive enough of her. Sonja said that she has always stuck up for Ramona, even when she threw a glass at Kristen Taekman’s face, only to not get the same defense.

“Ramona is my BFF but she NEVER seems to be there for me. You watch the show. There’s historical proof of that. She never sticks up for me when the girls are coming at me and I’m always there for her. Always! Whether she’s right or wrong. Whether she’s throwing glasses in people’s face or saying something off-the-cuff that’s very painful. I’ve always defended her and understood her point of view but we’ve never seen Ramona stand up for me. I said to her last season, ‘You couldn’t live a day in my life Singer.’ Now she’s going through some similar issues with her divorce so it’s going to be interesting to see that this season.”

If she reads the interview, Ramona Singer will likely have a problem with Sonja Morgan likening their two divorces. In a preview clip of the season 7 premiere episode, which airs tonight on Bravo, Ramona starts telling Sonja what her life has been like since she discovered Mario Singer’s long affair with a much younger woman and took the decision to file for divorce after 25 years of marriage. Ramona tells Sonja that her “life is falling apart.” Sonja, instead of just offering sympathy, starts talking about her own divorce. The two women then seem to descend into a “whose situation is worse” argument. Sonja says that she was with her ex for years, Ramona counters that she was with Mario for 25 years and so it feels like her arm has been cut off, and Sonja repeats again that she was with her ex for a long time.

Ramona later makes clear to the camera that Sonja should have just listened to her.

“This is the first time I’m speaking to Sonja about my Mario situation and she’s making it all about her!”

While Sonja and Ramona seem to be going through some difficulties with their friendship, it seems that Ramona has gotten closer to LuAnn de Lesseps. Last Friday, Ramona tweeted that she has “a different friendship this year” with LuAnn.

In her interview with All About The Tea, Sonja Morgan also indicated that she didn’t just question Ramona Singer but everyone on the cast. She said that she came on season 7 of The Real Housewives of New York City “really questioning [her] friendships.”

“I didn’t feel they [her co-stars] were understanding my plight. They were VERY critical and judgmental…I had to question if there was jealousy or just they’re too busy to really care or was I not putting enough into the friendships to warrant any kind of support. That’s how I went into this season. You’ll have to see how it unfolds. I think you’ll be surprised!”

Besides Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer, season 7 stars LuAnn De Lesseps, Bethenny Frankel, Carole Radziwill, Dorinda Medley, Kristen Taekman, and Heather Thomson. Not returning is Aviva Drescher. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Carole has voiced her happiness that Aviva is no longer on the show.
