Apollo Nida Made Phaedra Parks Think She Was Living The American Dream

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida is one interesting character. Apollo may have enjoyed the public eye a bit too much because he managed to convince everyone in his circle that Kenya Moore had attempted to hook up with him. In addition, Nida managed to keep his legal troubles secret from everyone, including his own wife, Phaedra Parks.

Now that Apollo Nida is behind bars, Parks feels that she can speak out about her experiences. It took her some time to get over his betrayal, but now she is ready to speak out about how Apollo’s actions has truly affected her life. She sat down with Steve Harvey this week for an interview, where she reveals Nida tricked her into thinking everything was perfect.

According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida tricked Parks into thinking that everything was alright between them. However, Parks believed that Nida had truly changed, so she was shocked to learn that he was caught up in legal troubles last year. Apollo is currently serving 8 years behind bars, and Nida’s wife is planning to file for divorce.

“Like many women I had this ideal picture of the American dream and I thought I was actually living it,” Phaedra has revealed.

“This was like death of a dream because I thought that I had married someone that I thought I was going to fill this incredible life with. I’ve got two beautiful kids and this pretty much ended it all very abruptly. I think that people go through things all the time and they handle it differently and I think I’ve handled it the best way that I knew how. I’ve tried to handle it in a way that my sons could be proud of me, but also hopefully I could show to other women when you have very hard situations you can still be a lady and maintain a sense of dignity.”

Phaedra continues to explain that Apollo Nida has actually affected her children, as Nida decided to tell his oldest son Ayden that he was going to prison. Even though Apollo knew that his son may not understand the consequences to his actions, Ayden is now damaged by his confession. According to the Inquisitr, Parks has revealed that their son will need therapy to move on from his father’s betrayal.

As for Parks herself, she has been left to sort out the drama Nida left behind. On this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Parks made peace with Kenya Moore, who had been hurt by Apollo’s lies.
