Bravo Makes NeNe Leakes An Offer She Can’t Refuse To Stay As ‘RHOA’ Queen: A Spinoff, Pay Raise And Bigger Bonuses

NeNe Leakes apparently is the “queen” of the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Although the reality TV star was ready to ditch her role on the show, Bravo allegedly offered her a sweetheart deal including a spinoff, a pay raise and a bigger bonus check to entice her into returning for next season.

According to an insider speaking to Radar Online, NeNe was ready to quit the show over her frustration with the current season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta and the fact that she does not enjoy filming with most of the other cast.

“NeNe absolutely hated Housewives this season. She hated almost all of the other women and wanted off the show entirely.”

However, Bravo, who considers NeNe Leakes a valuable asset to its Housewives franchise, sweetened negotiations by making the reality star a deal she readily accepted.

“She is the most valuable person in the entire franchise and Bravo was going to do whatever she wanted to keep her. So they offered her the spin-off, which she gladly took.”

The spinoff, called The Road to Riches, will feature NeNe and Kim Zolciak as the two travel across the country to LA on a “one-of-a-kind adventure,” as the Inquisitr previously reported.

Although Leakes purportedly garnered $1.5 million for her role on this season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Bravo also offered the star a raise and bigger bonuses.

“They want NeNe and so they offered her a HUGE raise. She already makes the most and now they’re giving her even more money per episode and her bonuses will be bigger too.”

Leakes, no doubt a shrewd businesswoman, also negotiated herself more money per episode than her co-star for the spinoff, the insider tells Radar Online.

“She even got Bravo to pay her more than they’re paying Kim on the new show. NeNe knows she is the one people want to see and so she’s going to make Bravo pay up to keep her around.”

This latest deal between Bravo and the RHOA star is likely not to sit well with some of the other cast members, especially those who appear to want the self-proclaimed “queen” gone from the show as they say she is the root cause of all of the drama. However, NeNe Leakes took to Twitter Sunday night to set the record straight on where she stands with Bravo.

The premiere date for The Road to Riches has yet to be determined.
