As Funds Dwindle, Joe And Teresa Giudice Agree To Bravo Spin-Off Deal
Joe and Teresa Giudice are allegedly going to be the stars of a new Bravo reality show, as the couple have agreed film a spin-off of Joe’s life with the couple’s daughters. While Teresa will be an integral part of the show, she will have to participate from behind bars.
Teresa Giudice, who is serving a 15-month sentence at a federal prison, was the clincher for the deal between Joe and Bravo producers, as the network insists Teresa’s phone calls and emails to the family be included in the show’s footage, a source tells Radar Online.
Joe Giudice has been in talks for weeks with Bravo about a Giudice reality show spin-off for himself and the pair’s daughters. According to E! Online, the original plan was for the spotlight to be on Joe and the girls, who appeared alongside mom throughout her time on the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Apparently, the family’s life without Teresa was not enough for Bravo. Although Giudice is behind bars and the crew cannot film within the prison’s walls, she will still participate in the show. Unless the RHONJ star toes the line during the show’s filming, she could lose her early release privilege.
“Cameras will also be mounted in the car to get footage of their visit to the prison…and prison officials will be monitoring the situation to make sure Teresa continues to obey all the rules. Failure to do so could result in her early release, scheduled for February 2016, to be nixed.”
Joe’s reasoning for doing another reality TV show appears to be all about the money. According to Radar Online, while Joe is still not working, the family struggles financially without handouts from the couple’s parents. In court last week at his sentencing for driver’s license fraud, the judge ordered the Real Housewives of New Jersey dad to pay a $10,000 fine in the case, to which his attorney stated that Joe could not possibly pay the fine as he is “destitute,” as previously reported by the Inquisitr.
Although the show will initially focus on Joe raising the couple’s four daughters, Gia, Milania, Gabriella, and Audriana, it is unclear what direction the show will take once Teresa is released from prison. Joe Giudice is to start serving his 41-month sentence for bankruptcy fraud after his wife’s release, which, if everything goes as planned, will be February of 2016.
Joe and girls are to begin filming within the next several weeks, with the show premiering on Bravo in the fall.
