Santorum Calls Obama A Snob Over His Education Plans
Rick Santorum took to the Sunday talk shows today to affirm his statement that President Obama was a “snob” for wanting to enact a plan of universal higher education for America.
Satorum made a case against Obama’s plans by accusing the President of wanting to build the Democratic base by sending everyone to what he called “indoctrination mills” where their heads will be filled with left wing propaganda.
He told “Meet The Press”,
“Barack Obama is a person of the left. He is someone who believes in big government. He believes in the values that are, unfortunately, the dominant values, and political values, and overly politicized values, and politically correct values that are on most college and university campuses.”
It is unclear to what positions Santorum was criticizing. Obama has never made a proposal for universal higher education. It could be that Santorum is making the case that all lawmakers from the Left are interested in universal higher education.
Satorum seems to have stepped into it this time because the comments that Obama has made towards higher education seem to almost directly mimic Senator Santorum’s commitment to ensuring access to higher education. On his website he says,
“In addition to Rick’s support of ensuring that primary and secondary schools in Pennsylvania are equipped for success, he is equally committed to ensuring the every Pennsylvanian has access to higher education.”
Satorum was asked specifically about what he disagreed with about universal college educations and he said he didn’t disagree with the concept but in its intent. He wants to see everyone having access to universal higher education or trade schools so that people can pursue whatever career choices they want.
Do you agree with Rick Santorum or Barack Obama?
