Wondering if any restaurants are open on Easter Sunday? If you don’t want to cook, there are a number of chain restaurants open on April 5 for both buffet-style and sit-down meals. Check the list below to find out if popular chain restaurants like Golden Corral, Hometown Buffet, Cracker Barrel, Applebee’s, Olive Garden, Starbucks and McDonald’s.
If you plan to skip the kitchen and go out to eat on Easter, you’re not alone. According to the National Restaurant Association , more than 33 million Americans will celebrate the holiday by dining out, and 51 percent of them will head to a buffet-style restaurant for lunch or dinner.

You’re in luck if you are hoping to find an inexpensive, all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant open on Easter Sunday. Golden Corral , Hometown Buffet, and Old Country Buffet are all open for business on April 5. Eat all the spiral ham, salad, side dishes and dessert you want for one price — it’s usually in the range of $9.95 to $14.95 per person, depending on the restaurant and location.
Fast food fans may be disappointed to find out that most McDonald’s, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s locations will be closed on Easter. However, you can get your caffeine-fix on Sunday — most Starbucks locations are open on the holiday.

Cracker Barrel is a popular dining spot on most holidays, and will be open regular business hours on Sunday. Most locations will not have a special holiday menu, but if you’re craving ham, you’ll find it on the regular menu under “Country Dinner Plates.”
What about sit-down restaurants including Applebee’s, Olive Garden, Bucca di Beppo, Boston Market, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, and McCormick & Schmick’s? According to Holiday Shopping Hours , all of these popular restaurants will be open, with the exception of Olive Garden.

Some restaurants are offering brunch, lunch, and dinner and holiday hours vary. Reservations may be required on Easter at many of the higher-end chain restaurants like Ruth’s Chris, Capital Grille, and McCormick & Schmicks. Call ahead or try making an online reservation service like Open Table to snag a table as far in advance of the holiday as you can.
