Lily-Rose Depp Steps Out, Set To Co-Star With Dad Johnny Depp But Injury Delays ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ [Video]

Lily-Rose Depp may not be a name that ranks on the instantly recognizable celebrity hot list — yet. But the 15-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and ex-girlfriend Vanessa Paradis rocked her red carpet appearance recently in New York, reported the Huffington Post.

Delighting photographers and onlookers when she showed up for Chanel’s 2014/15 Metiers d’Art Collection show, Lily-Rose chose to combine a baby blue crop top with a demure skirt. But the teenager has more than fashionable appearances in her future.

Joining her father, Lily-Rose will co-star in a Kevin Smith-directed movie, Yoga Hosers. But although that’s set to open in June, Johnny’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has been delayed due to an injury to his hand, revealed the Hollywood Reporter.

The production had to shut down temporarily and is currently scheduled to start up on April 15 in Australia. Depp had to undergo hand surgery in the United States, which will include having a pin placed in his finger.

Playing Captain Jack Sparrow for the fifth time, Depp co-stars with Geoffrey Rush and Javier Bardem. He also recently co-starred with Gwyneth Paltrow in Mortdecai, as he discussed below on The Ellen Show.

As for Lily-Rose’s mother, Vanessa, she’s known as Karl Lagerfeld’s muse, according to Us Weekly. The similarities between mom and daughter were noticeable, from their facial features to their hairstyles.

Vanessa and Johnny dated for 14 years before calling it quits in 2012. He is now married to Amber Heard, and Depp admitted that the break-up resulted in challenges for his entire family. He also emphasized that Vanessa remains in his life.

“It wasn’t always easy on her. It wasn’t easy on me. It wasn’t easy on the kids. The trajectory of that relationship — you play it out until it goes, one thing leads to another. So for whatever reason that ceases, it doesn’t stop the fact that you care for that person, and they’re the mother of your kids, and you’ll always know each other, and you’re always gonna be in each other’s lives because of those kids.”

It’s a sentiment shared by Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, who have been cheering on their daughter Rumer Willis on Dancing with the Stars, as the Inquisitr reported.

Rumer also has been turning heads with her resemblance to her mother and increasingly toned body from hours of rehearsal.
