Jill Duggar is still eagerly awaiting the arrival of Baby Dilly, and 19 Kids and Counting fans are also extremely excited about the infant’s overdue big debut. Members of Dilly’s adoring public are probably getting a little impatient now that it’s so long past his due date, but TLC is trying to make the wait well worth it — according to a recent report, his highly-anticipated arrival will be televised.
Zap2it reports that TLC will air a two-hour 19 Kids and Counting special centered on Baby Dilly next month. On May 5, fans will witness the birth of Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard’s first child. During the super-sized episode, Michelle Duggar will also share her favorite advice about motherhood.
If all goes according to plan, Baby Dilly’s birth will take place at Jill and Derick’s home. During an interview with People , Derick revealed that his baby mama is planning on depositing their son in a birthing pool, and a team of midwives will be present to assist with the delivery. Obviously, Jill’s sisters will also be there to attend to the mom-to-be’s needs.
Jill Duggar’s due date was March 24, but after that day came and went, Derick Dillard speculated that Baby Dilly might arrive on the anniversary of his proposal to Jill. However, the infant decided to let his parents celebrate in peace.
According to ET Online , Jill and Derick’s engagement anniversary date was March 29, and the smitten couple decided to mark the occasion with a few sweet Instagram photos. Jill posted a proposal photo , and Derick chose to share a photo of Jill flashing her engagement ring from Israel. The ring’s origin could end up having a huge impact on Baby Dilly’s future — as the Inquisitr previously reported, there’s some speculation that Jill and Derick might name their son Israel .
“One year ago today, the sweetest man in the whole world asked me to marry him!” Jill captioned the photo below. “I said ‘yes, totally!’…now, 9 months into marriage we await the arrival of our little #babydilly”
“One year ago today, she said yes! Happy engagement anniversary to my beautiful bride @jillmdillard I love you Jill Michelle! #newlyweds”
On their engagement anniversary, Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard also gave fans something to celebrate by sharing a Baby Dilly video update on the Duggar Family Facebook page. While talking about helping Jill meet her nutritional needs, Derick expressed some concern about his son’s growing size.
“I’ll try and add up her protein every day, make sure we’re getting 60 to 80 grams of protein, but at the same time you don’t want to get too much because what I found out — you don’t want to have a 10-pound baby.”
A cheerful Jill joked that her bun in the oven is “still cooking,” and she said that she’s been staying active by walking every day. The 19 Kids and Counting star thinks that Baby Dilly might interrupt her family’s usual holiday celebrations this weekend by arriving on Easter Sunday .
