Carrie Underwood Baby Pic First Look: Son’s Name And Post-Pregnancy Weight Loss Plan Revealed [Video]
Carrie Underwood provided the world with one of the cutest baby-on-the-way announcements ever (see below), and now the country superstar is getting croons for a photo of her new infant, reported E! News.
NHL player, Mike Fisher, who plays center for the Nashville Predators, and Carrie decided to name their little boy after his father, creating an appropriate first public photo opportunity by portraying baby Isaiah Michael Fisher holding a Nashville Predators hockey stick.
Carrie posted the photo on Instagram with a caption that clarified the couple’s goals for their baby.
“The Predators are in the playoffs! Just waiting to get called up! #PutMeInCoach.”
Born February 27, Isaiah is the first baby for the couple who married in 2010 after being engaged for a year.
For 32-year-old Underwood, being pregnant meant coping with unexpected cravings after eating a plant-based diet for years, reported Entertainment Tonight.
“I think because I am pregnant, I allow myself to eat things I normally don’t eat,” she admitted in December after abandoning her vegan ways and indulging.
In addition to indulging in her cravings during pregnancy, Carrie admitted that it’s always challenging to eat a purely vegan diet when she’s traveling on tour.
“I have been a little more vegetarian than vegan especially with traveling, so it’s a little hard to order food from hotels and stuff when you’re vegan,” Underwood revealed.
To avoid gaining too much weight during her pregnancy and make it easier to shed those post-baby pounds, Carrie also shared that she kept up her exercise routine with a few prenatal modifications.
“I still make it a point to be very active. Doing something, hiking, going for a run, lifting weights, boxing, doing things like that. It makes me feel good. It is great to do something for me, and that is something for me. I think that women should make time. A little time, 20 minutes, 30 minutes.”
Now that she’s had the baby, Carrie can boost her exercise again to its normal level and as she planned, return to her strict vegan diet, as the Inquisitr reported.
“With pregnancy, I am definitely going more on the vegetarian side. As soon as I am not pregnant anymore, I will go back to being vegan.”
And she’s not the only celebrity to become an ex-vegan temporarily during pregnancy, as the Inquisitr pointed out. Others include Natalie Portman and Hilaria Baldwin.
