Running back Adrian Peterson has been one of the hottest topics of conversation this NFL offseason, and the strangest because he is still under contract with the Minnesota Vikings. Many have heard rumors that the Dallas Cowboys are hoping for a trade, but some think they’re out of the mix. It’s not over until it’s over.
Dallas News is saying that a deal to bring Adrian Peterson to the Cowboys is probably not going to happen. Still, there is so much being said right now to make it seem as if he’s going to end up with a big star on his helmet.
Numerous other teams have been mentioned when it comes to getting Adrian Peterson in a trade. Some of those teams are the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, and Oakland Raiders, but it almost seems countless at times.

There’s no proof that there have been talks of any kind between the Vikings and any of the aforementioned teams or any others. The Vikings keep stating that Peterson is a member of the team, under contract, and they’re looking forward to having him in camp this summer.
“I’m not going to speculate on what he wants or doesn’t want,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said. “He’s under contract for three more years with us and that’s why you sign these contracts and why you get these big bonuses.”
“We’re planning on him being back. We have no plans to trade Adrian.”
The rumors have been thrown around from the Dallas Cowboys to other teams, but there is not a lot being said about it. Bruce Arians, head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, was asked about Adrian Peterson, but refused to speak about him.
“Are you trying to get me fired? That’s tampering, dude. I can’t talk about another player. I ain’t saying jack about Adrian Peterson. I’d get fined for that.”
The Star-Telegram also said that it’s highly unlikely that Adrian Peterson will end up with the Dallas Cowboys. Still, the rumors simply won’t die and it’s an extreme long-shot, but for some reason, they won’t go away.
Peterson wants out of Minnesota and that has been confirmed by Ben Dogra, his agent. Dogra couldn’t have put it any more obvious than he did last week when he started they wanted out of Minnesota and away from the Vikings.
In 2015, Adrian Peterson is owed a $12.75 million base salary, and the Dallas Cowboys have next to no money available under the cap right now. Jerry Jones would do some big-time moving to free up money if “All-Day” had a chance to land in Dallas, but for now, they’re nothing more than rumors.
At least, they’re just rumors for now, but they’re still alive.
