Jennifer Hudson and Iggy Azalea got in “Trouble” as they helped green slime go prime at the 2015 Kids Choice Awards Saturday night. But it was all in the name of a kid-friendly good time, as host Nick Jonas and stars such as Angelina Jolie helped make magic happen for kids of all ages, according to the Hollywood Reporter .
Iggy and Jennifer made it clear that they are determined to turn their new “Trouble” duet into a hit as they decked themselves out in matching prison attire.
With Jennifer in a policewoman’s suit and Iggy taking on the role of prisoner, dancers turned into cops as well so that Iggy could slide smoothly into the world’s brightest pretend-prison in hues of yellow and beyond bright pink.
Held at the Forum, the Kids Choice Awards marked Nickelodeon’s 28th presentation of a show that celebrates favorites among the young fans themselves.
In taking on the role of host, Nick might have thought he could escape getting that famous green slime slurped out upon his own body. Wrong, oh, so wrong. Jonas took home the Best Male Singer trophy, and got slimed himself in the process.
Nick wasn’t the only one to find a different sort of trouble (of the green slime kind) at the Kids Choice Awards , reported E! News .
Modern Family took home the trophy for favorite family TV show. Gotcha, green slime, responded dripping Sarah Hyland, Ariel Winter, and their co-stars.
Jonas didn’t hesitate as to whether to jump into the One Direction shocker (Zayn Malik is exiting stage left).
“What’s next, Fourth Harmony?” Nick asked, joshing about Fifth Harmony but alarming the youthful audience.
Others who won and in the process captivated the audience were the Dance Moms cast for Best Reality Show and Angelina Jolie for Favorite Villain in Maleficent at Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
Angelina hugged daughters Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt and Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt after the announcement was made.
Jolie’s words touched the entire audience and other celebrities listening.
“Different is good so don’t fit in. Don’t sit still. Don’t ever try to be less than what you are. And when someone tells you that you are different, smile and hold your head up high and be proud.”
As the Inquisitr reported, Angelina has used that philosophy to guide her own parenting with Brad Pitt. Rather than use any terms such as “transgender,” she has emphasized that she accepts her daughter Shiloh’s desire to dress as a boy and be called John.
