Bethenny Frankel Miscarriage Revealed During Today Show Interview [Video]
Former “Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel recently suffered a miscarriage, she revealed Monday on the “Today Show.”
“We were pregnant with a second baby and at eight weeks, I miscarried,” Frankel, 41, said after Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie asked if she and husband Jason Hoppy had any plans to expand their family. “That was a very emotional experience.”
Although experience was not recorded or mentioned during the filming of her current reality show, Bethenny Ever After, Frankel explained it made her feel extremely sympathetic towards women who suffer from infertility.
“I have thought about other women more than myself,” she said. “I can’t believe what people go through if they can’t even have the one. You go through a roller coaster of emotions about it.”
When asked if she will try again following the miscarriage, Bethenny, who gave birth to daughter Bryn in May 2010, said she’s “not really thinking about” that at this time as her hands are full juggling a business, marriage and toddler.
“I have strains in every part of my life. I try to be the best person I can and the best wife I can,” said Frankel, who also is the author of best-selling diet book, Naturally Thin. “It’s hard for me to balance a business and having a baby and be a good friend and manage so have romance. All I do is work through it.”
