‘Dance Moms’ Star Maddie Ziegler Heads To ‘Austin And Ally’: Who Does She Play?

Dance Moms fans will definitely want to tune in to a special episode of Austin & Ally airing Saturday night on the Disney Channel. Maddie Ziegler has a role in this episode and it’s shaping up to be a fun show. What’s the scoop?

This episode is titled “Homework & Hidden Talents” and airs on Saturday, March 28. It seems that Ally will be aiming to show Austin that she can work some magic with a new student’s hidden abilities. Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler stars as a student named Shelby.

Shelby, who likely plays one of the students at the Austin & Ally Music Factory, will be dancing of course, but she will also be shown playing the violin. From the looks of the Austin & Ally spoiler preview, Shelby and Austin will end up in some sort of “dance off” competition against one another.

It seems fairly safe to say that Shelby will take this one and then some against Austin, but it should be entertaining to watch. Dance Moms fans know that this episode taped a while ago, back in November, and they’ve been chomping at the bit to see it air.

At the time of the taping, Ziegler thanked the cast via Twitter for having her on the show and she clearly had a great time on the set. She also shared a fun photo via Instagram hyping the upcoming episode and she says she’s excited for everybody to finally see the show.

The “Homework & Hidden Talents” episode of Austin & Ally airs as part of a “Tune in 4 What?!” programming event for the Disney Channel. As Zap2It notes, between Thursday, March 26, and Sunday, March 29, eight new episodes of many of Disney’s fan favorite shows will air new episodes.

This special event will include new episodes of Liv and Maddie, Dog With A Blog, Jessie, K.C. Undercover and the Season 1 finale of Girl Meets World, as well as an episode of I Didn’t Do It. In addition to the Dance Moms teens, the flurry of new episodes will also include Los Angles Clippers star Chris Paul and Teen Beach 2 star Jordan Fisher as guest stars.

As for Dance Moms, recent episodes have shown that Maddie has been keeping very busy with big opportunities in the entertainment business. Her second video with Sia stirred up a lot of controversy, but she seems to take it all in stride. Tune in to Austin & Ally airing on Saturday, March 28, to see her guest stint as Shelby, then tune in to Lifetime every Tuesday night for new episodes of Dance Moms.
