Chelsea Handler Cosby Claim: Comedienne Says Bill Cosby Attempted To Add Her To His ‘Victims’ List

Comedienne Chelsea Handler has stepped forward to add herself to the list of women accusing Bill Cosby. Although she is providing the details only now of what she considers a close call with the legendary comedian and actor, Handler noted that the encounter occurred 10 years ago, reported Salon.

Her new claim occurred during an interview with Esquire. Chelsea recalled Cosby’s invitation to join him in an Atlantic City hotel room. The writer, Scott Raab, expressed his sympathy for Cosby, and that’s when Handler attacked.

“Not ‘poor guy.’ He tried to Cosby me,” accused Chelsea, referencing the previous accusations from women that the comedian had assaulted them.

Handler then recalled the chronology of events that led to what she considers a near-attack.

“[At] like three o’clock in the afternoon, someone from the hotel came down and said, ‘Oh, you know, Mr. Cosby would really like to meet you up in his hotel suite.’ And I thought, That’s really weird.”

Noting that the situation occurred about a decade ago, Chelsea emphasized that she decided she did not want to go alone to Cosby’s hotel room.

“So the three guys I was with — thank God these guys were with me. One was filming and one was like a producer; we were filming something — I brought them up with me to his room and thank God I did, because now I know what would’ve happened if I went up there alone. And I forgot about it when all the stories about Bill Cosby came out. I was like, I didn’t even think of it. Then my friend texted me the other day saying, ‘Do you remember that night we went up to, or that afternoon we went up to Bill Cosby’s and you were so freaked out you made us come with you?’ And I said, Yeah, and he said, ‘Hello! You could’ve been one of his victims if we weren’t there.'”

Throughout the repeated accusations from what now totals more than 20 women, Cosby has maintained silence. However, as the Inquisitr reported, he finally issued a video that avoids any indication he’s even aware of those accusations.

Instead, he discussed the comedy shows he has scheduled.

“You know I’ll be hilarious… Dear fans, I hope you enjoy my wonderful video message that’s filled with laughter… Hey, hey, hey, I’m far from finished.”

But TV personality and supermodel Janice Dickinson revealed that she found nothing “hilarious” about what she considers her own assault from Cosby, reported Entertainment Tonight.

Recalling an event that happened in 1982, the 59-year-old model said that Cosby invited her to visit him in Lake Tahoe. He provided her with a pill and red wine because she said her stomach hurt.

“The next morning I woke up, and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man,” she stated.
