Plot Details Revealed For ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice’ — When Could The Trailer Drop?

There is so very little known about Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and so many wonder just what it will be about. All that’s really known is who is in the film, what roles they will play, and that Batman and Superman will battle it out at some point. Now, some plot details have finally been revealed, and the two superheroes are battling it out for reasons you would never expect.

Bad A** Digest has revealed some information on the plot of Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice as we are now one year away from its release. Please be known that there are some possible SPOILERS ahead so read on at your own risk.

For those that aren’t aware, in Frank Miller’s graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns, the president sends Superman to stop Batman from cleaning up Gotham City. This would allow the government to take over the city, and this ends up causing Batman and Superman to battle it out.

“In Batman v Superman, Superman is no lackey of the government; if anything many of the world’s governments distrust the guy. But it is Superman who goes to Gotham and starts the confrontation… at the behest of Lex Luthor. And unlike The Dark Knight Returns, Superman comes out swinging, pulverizing the Batmobile with one punch. Why would Superman do Lex Luthor’s bidding? What is Lex hoping to accomplish? That would be spoiling. But know that when the fight is over, Batman will be able to point to Superman and say, ‘He started it!'”

Now, this could be an interesting twist on things and make sense in the short clip we saw from San Diego Comic-Con months ago.

Superman looked absolutely angrier than sin as he took on Batman in the Bat-Armor, and maybe it’s because Batman blamed him for the damage he caused in Metropolis. You remember, the severe amounts of damage caused in Man of Steel.

It was earlier in the day that there had been a first look at Jesse Eisenberg in his role as Lex Luthor. Entertainment Weekly released the image and had a quote from director Zack Snyder who said, “He’s not like any of the Lexes that you’ve seen, that’s for sure.”

Now, this could explain a lot as well. Superman may not fall under the mind control of Lex Luthor, but he could be seen as a man who “looks out” for the good of the world, and that could be right up Superman’s alley.

With all of this being said, the biggest question on everyone’s mind is…when will the first official trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice finally drop?

Well, there have been a few rumors going around lately with talk from Latinos Post saying it could be released in May. Over at the I Digital Times, they’re saying that there will be a Warner Bros. panel at WonderCon in Anaheim in April, and that could be the debut of the first teaser trailer.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is going to hit theaters on March 25, 2016, and it stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Jason Mamoa, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons, and many more. Could the plot details finally mean the trailer for this highly anticipated film is near?
