Justin Bieber Set To Perform At Ultra Music Festival With Skrillex, Diplo
Justin Bieber is set to perform as a guest at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, Florida this weekend with EDM titan Skrillex, and Jack Ü partner Diplo also jumping on stage.
The 21-year-old superstar will sing “Where Are Ü Now,” his collaborative track on Jack Ü’s recently dropped album. It is not known if other album-featured artists will be appearing, a source tells the Inquisitr after we followed up Twitter chatter.
The three-day dance music throwdown is the finale to Miami Music Week and kicks off on Friday, March 27. Skrillex is headlining the main stage on Sunday, March 29.
The news follows Bieber’s Twitter hint on Tuesday. He wrote, “@Skrillex @diplo what are you guys doing this weekend?” and included the YouTube link to the trio’s anthem.

“@justinbieber @Skrillex let’s go to the beach,” Diplo replied later the same day, while giving nothing away. Over in Skrillex’s neck of Twitter, he sent emoticons back to both.

Bieber’s guest spot at the Ultra Music Festival will be the first live outing of the addictive, gorgeous “Where Are Ü Now.” The mid-tempo has garnered almost universally, ecstatic reviews, and finds the singer lamenting a lost lover with bittersweet lyrics set against Jack Ü’s tribal beat-driven soundscape.
Currently at No.9 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, the track is the highest streamed joint from the Skrillex & Diplo Present Jack Ü album on SoundCloud, with over 7 million plays to date.
Between February 23–March 2, “Where Are Ü Now” was the second most streamed track on Spotify globally and the third highest in the U.S. during the same period, the Associated Press reported. From March 2–8, it reached No. 9 on Spotify’s Top 10 Most Viral Tracks in the U.S.
Meanwhile, Jack Ü’s album is sitting at No.2 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart after debuting at No. 1 in the week ending March 14.
Ultra isn’t the only music festival on Bieber’s radar this year. On Tuesday, the UK’s Capital FM radio station announced he is the headliner for the opening day of the Fusion Festival in Birmingham, UK on August 28 and will play a 60 minute set. The exclusive UK date will be the singer’s first appearance in Britain since his infamous Believe Tour leg.

Shortly after the headlining reveal, Bieber took to Twitter, writing, “Missed the stage. Time to get back to work.”
In a statement, he added, “I love the UK and I’m excited to be playing at Fusion this year. There are some great artists on the line-up, so to be headlining the Friday night is a real honor.”
For those unable to make it to Miami to watch Skrillex, Diplo, and Bieber in action, the live streaming service Twitch has partnered with the Ultra Music Festival to stream the event.
Avicii, David Guetta, Axwell ? Ingrosso, Armin van Buuren, and Hardwell are among the many acts set to appear at the EDM celebration. For more information on other must-see performances at #Ultra2015, head to redbull.com and dancingastronaut.com.
