‘Dance Moms’ Spoilers: Maddie’s ‘Elastic Heart’ Video Stirs Up Drama In ‘Abby’s Trash, Cathy’s Treasure’
A new episode of Dance Moms airs Tuesday night on Lifetime, and this one is sure to generate some passionate discussion. The Abby Lee Dance Company faces off against the Candy Apples once again, plus Maddie Ziegler’s Sia video with Shia LaBeouf is released and prompts some intense talk. Tuesday night’s episode is titled “Abby’s Trash, Cathy’s Treasure.” This episode was taped just as the world went crazy over Maddie’s second video with singer Sia, the one titled “Elastic Heart.” The video generated a lot of controversy at the time it was released, and it seems that there will be some intense discussion about it on this week’s episode, as well.
Lifetime teases that Abby Lee Miller decides to have all of the ALDC girls do duets in the next competition in honor of Maddie’s video. However, Cathy is at the competition with a new team of dancers, and she’s got some heavy criticism for Maddie’s video.
The show’s Facebook page teases a Dance Moms preview showing Maddie’s mom, Melissa, getting some intense criticism, as well, from one of the Candy Apples moms. However, Kalani’s mom, Kira, rouses support for Maddie and the girls just as they’re about to perform. There is word that there are also some heated moments ahead between JoJo’s mom, Jessalynn, and Cathy, too.
Are the girls able to overcome all of the video hype and criticism when it comes to the competition? According to the show’s Wikia page, they do indeed. Dance Moms spoilers indicate that the group dance, called “Get A Clue,” takes first place in both the junior small group division and in the overall standings.
Kalani and Maddie’s duet takes first in both the teen and overall standings, while JoJo and Kendall’s duet takes second in their junior division and third overall. Mackenzie and Nia also do a duet and they win first in the junior division and second overall. Clearly, the ALDC takes charge in this competition.
Viewers may recognize some familiar faces on this new Candy Apples team. Cathy’s group falls behind the ALDC, but they are said to still finish strong with a group dance garnering second in the teen small group division, third overall, and a duo that earns second in the teen division and fourth overall.
