‘RHONY’ Split: Why Did Bethenny Frankel & Michael Cerussi Break Up?
The RHONY split between Bethenny Frankel and Michael Cerussi reportedly occurred after the couple deemed their lifestyles as incompatible.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Frankel confirmed her RHONY split during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live. On the show, Frankel chatted with host Andy Cohen about her current relationship status, revealing she and Cerussi were no longer an item.
“I’m not dating right now. I wish that my dating life was as colorful and exciting as it’s written about, but right now I’m kind of at a standstill. I dated this year, I’ve had a lot of different experiences but I have a daughter and I am still married.”
Prior to their RHONY split, Frankel and Cerussi dated for just over a year. However, their relationship was kept under wraps. After going public in Miami on New Year’s 2014, the couple kept a low profile. In fact, they avoided making any red carpet appearances and were only photographed together a handful of times.
Although Frankel didn’t reveal the reason behind her RHONY split on the show, a source claimed to E! News that Frankel and Cerussi’s differing lifestyles ultimately proved to be a problem in their relationship.
“They dated, but it was never that serious. She has moved on. She has been putting herself out there and has been dating.”
The source claimed Frankel would be focusing on her young daughter, Bryn, after the RHONY split.
In a second report, via Us Weekly, a source claimed the RHONY split happened a couple of weeks ago.
“They’re in different places in their lives and they were headed down different paths. They were cohabitating for a bit, but are not anymore. She’s been dating other people. She’d be happy in a committed relationship with someone new, but truly doesn’t want to get married again.”
During her chat with Cohen, which took place a short time after the RHONY split, Frankel spoke of future relationships, claiming she wasn’t sure what she was looking for in a potential partner.
Years before her RHONY split, Frankel parted ways with husband Jason Hoppy, the father of her daughter, Bryn. The couple began dating during The Real Housewives of New York City’s third season, and also starred in their own reality series, Bethenny Getting Married.
No word yet on whether Frankel and Cerussi’s RHONY split will be seen on the upcoming seventh season of the show.
