Rick Ross No Show For Bill Murray Taping

In a year that has seen some pretty unique collaborations, the pairing of rap star Rick Ross and comedian/actor Billy Murray seemed to be the strangest. Ross may have felt the same, and never showed for his taping session with Murray.

The Groundhog Day star is not amused by Mr. Ross’ antics and was quite vocal on his recent visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Radio.com reported that Ross had recorded a song for Murray to use for an upcoming Christmas show, but when it came time for the actual filming, Ross was a no show. In proper form, Murray joked on the Kimmel show that Ross never showed back up to the studio, and they haven’t heard from him since the recording.

“If anyone out there sees a 300-pound guy who looks like he’s supposed to be in New York two weeks ago, let me know,”

Bill went on to say that Ross had “better be dead, because if he’s not, he’s in trouble.”

Pictures of the Ross and Murray had appeared on Instagram a few weeks ago regarding the budding collaboration. Then, within a few weeks, Ross had disappeared completely, leaving Murray and company wondering just what had happened.

With other stars such as George Clooney and Miley Cyrus scheduled to appear on the unnamed project, it seems that Ross was just too busy to finish his part. NME reports that the Christmas special will also have Amy Poehler from Parks and Recreation, and Bridesmaids actress Maya Rudolph. Murray will also be reunited with Lost in Translation director Sofia Coppola for the project.

The special centers around Murray, who plays an actor that refuses to have an agent or manager and a shady agent that is just dying to sign him. Throughout the film, other celebrities will be seen, some in rather black roles and simple Christmas carolers. There is even a cameo from Hollywood’s most famous maître d’, Dimitri Dimitrov, who stepped away from his post at the Tower Bar to play Murray’s valet.

A distribution deal is still being worked out at this time for the special.

The Inquisitr reported on the unlikely paring earlier this month. The two stars bumped into each other at the Rhode Island vs La Salle basketball game in Philadelphia, and things just started to flow from there.

Ross’ camp has yet to issue any statement regarding the no show, even with Murray’s taunts from the Kimmel show that aired just a few days ago.
