Captain America: Civil War Plot Leaked? Reveals Who The Star-Spangled Hero And His Team Stand Against
As Chris Evans reprises his role as Captain Steven Rogers in the third sequel of Captain America, the speculations about the storyline have been quite rife. Surprisingly, E-Online has some interesting and insider information about the plot and more importantly, who will Captain America face in the third sequel, officially titled Captain America: Civil War?
The plot develops and moves ahead post the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and is based on a 7-part comic series from Mark Millar. According to the website, we can all surely expect “Courage, Honor, Loyalty, Sacrifice” from Captain America. However, what peaks the curiosity meter is the hint that the Captain may have to stand against his “frenemy”, eccentric billionaire on land and superhero in the sky – Iron Man.
While shockingly, Robert Downey Jr. has declined to work in the third sequel, his on-screen persona, Tony Stark will now fight Captain America in the same. The synopsis in the casting announcement explains the plot.
“Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies.”
Though we won’t see Downey Jr., Chris Evans had agreed to do the film a long time back and we can be sure that he will be wearing an all-too-familiar suit that very closely and flamboyantly resembles the American flag.
Interestingly, while Downey Jr. won’t reprise his iconic role, he added that the Captain America series may explore some of the darker themes and storylines about the main character,
“I’m crazy about Evans. I think Chris [Evans] has been hungry to bring even more of an underside and some shadow to that. I remember the comics—on the surface you got the sense that Cap was baseball and apple pie, but underneath there was all this churning stuff of being a man out of time.”
The third sequel will see all of the characters that were seen in last Captain America film as well as one from the Avengers as well. Scarlett Johansson will appear as Black Widow, while Anthony Mackie is the Falcon who regains his wings that Bucky Barnes tore off. This sequel will also see Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Hawkeye.
The film, which set to hit the production floor in about a week’s time, is expected to be released on May 6, 2016. Meanwhile, enjoy the official trailer of Avengers: Age of Ultron
