Did Zayn Malik Cheat On Perrie Edwards? Witness Speaks Out, Zayn’s Mom Says He’s Undecided About Future

Zayn Malik’s quick departure from One Direction’s On the Road Again Tour has left Directioners extremely worried — it might signify the beginning of the end of their beloved boy band. However, it looks like Perrie Edwards probably won’t have to worry about those cheating allegations that prompted Zayn’s hasty exit. According to one eyewitness, the singer did nothing wrong while interacting with an attractive female fan at the Seduction club in Phuket, Thailand.

Fans became concerned that Zayn Malik was cheating on Perrie Edwards after seeing two photos that were making the rounds on the web. One showed Zayn holding hands with a British babe named Lauren Richardson, and the other showed him with his hand on her bare stomach. A friend of Lauren’s recently told the Mirror that Zayn did nothing wrong — Lauren initiated the hand-holding, and she only got close to Zayn to pose for a picture.

“He spent two minutes with her at the club,” Lauren Richardson’s pal revealed. “She grabbed his hand and he was happy to pose for a photo. But it has turned into this whole other thing online.”

Zayn Malik lashed out at the cheating accusations on Twitter.

“I’m 22 years old… I love a girl named Perrie Edwards,” he wrote. “And there’s a lot of jealous f***s in this world I’m sorry for what it looks like x.”

The cheating accusations seemingly played a part in Zayn Malik’s decision to leave One Direction’s world tour, but a spokesman for the band cited “stress” as the cause of his quick departure. His mother Trisha told the Mirror that he’s doing fine, but she couldn’t reassure fans that he’ll return to One Direction.

“I can’t say where he is going to go,” she stated.

During a 2013 interview with BBC News, Trisha Malik revealed that her son has always been rather shy, and he almost gave up on his singing dreams before One Direction even existed. Zayn begged his mom to let him skip that fateful X Factor audition that would change the entire course of his life, but she wouldn’t let him.

“On the morning of the audition Zayn didn’t want to go. ‘He chickened out, saying: ‘Can’t I just leave it?'”

Zayn Malik almost gave up again during the bootcamp portion of The X Factor UK because trying to learn a choreographed routine left him feeling “like an idiot.” He seems to be a very sensitive soul who doesn’t like attention, and it’s pretty obvious that he can’t handle criticism. Because he’s tried to throw in the towel so many times before, it really wouldn’t be shocking at all if this seemingly minor incident becomes the final straw — after taking some time to cool down, he might decide that One Direction simply isn’t worth it anymore.

When boy bands split up, it’s rare for each member to maintain the level of fame that they experienced as part of a group. This could actually be a good thing for someone like Zayn — he might be a lot happier being less famous. He also doesn’t have to give up on doing what he loves whenever One Direction inevitably dissolves. As the Inquisitr recently reported, rapper 50 Cent recently revealed that he’d be more than happy to help Zayn pursue a career as a hip-hop artist. And if Zayn wants to take a year or two off before deciding what he wants to do with his life, he should have more than enough money to do this. He could even stay at home as Perrie Edwards’ house husband after he and the Little Mix star tie the knot. This would be bad news for One Direction, but it might be the best move for Zayn Malik.

All boy bands become less popular as time goes by, but it’s pretty evident that One Direction is still the world’s most popular boy band. The hashtag #HaveAGoodRestZayn recently trended on Twitter, and some Directioners seem pretty heartbroken over the prospect of losing a member of their beloved band.
