Angelina Jolie And Billy Bob Thornton’s Wedding Photos: Jolie Wore Jeans To Las Vegas Wedding 15 Years Ago
When Angelina Jolie married Billy Bob Thornton 15 years ago, she didn’t put much thought into her wedding-day attire. The Maleficent actress wore a pair of jeans and a sleeveless gray top when she tied the knot in a Las Vegas chapel. Her casual outfit is a far cry from the gorgeous, floor length white wedding gown she wore when she married Brad Pitt in August, 2014.
According to the Daily Mail, photos of Jolie’s quickie wedding to Thornton back in 2000 look more like the couple “walked off a movie set to pose with a fan” — and that fan was Reverend Jim Hamilton, the man who married the couple in Vegas.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Hamilton showed off several photos of Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob from their May, 2000, wedding at the Little Church of the West chapel. The Reverend, who appeared in several photos with the famous couple, has been officiating Las Vegas weddings for 36 years. He remembers being caught off guard when the “superstar pair walked in” to the chapel on a “quiet Friday afternoon.”
“I married them on a Friday afternoon it was very quiet. They walked in and I recognized her immediately and she was really big at that time, of course she still is and Billy Bob I didn’t recognize him at first… personally I don’t think they had really planned it out for long, I think it was a spur of the moment deal but I’m not sure, I didn’t ask ‘oh what made you decide to get married?’ It was my job to marry them.”

Jolie and Thornton dated for only two months prior to their Las Vegas wedding. They separated two years later, and their divorce was finalized in May, 2003. It was Jolie’s second marriage and Billy Bob’s fifth — both would go on to tie the knot again years later.
Jolie’s August, 2014, wedding to Brad Pitt was quite different from her quickie Vegas wedding to Thornton. According to E!, it was an intimate family affair and Jolie didn’t wear jeans. Instead, she wore a beautiful white silk gown, and a veil that was covered in artwork drawn by the couple’s six children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and the twins, Vivienne and Knox.

Reverend Hamilton, who has married 77,000 people over the span of three decades, tells the Mail that Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton are still the “most famous couple” he has has married. He’s so proud of the fact that he officiated their wedding that he gives every couple he marries a copy of the picture he took with the two Hollywood stars.
