Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Ditch Grammys for Date Night

It looks like the Bon Iver crew isn’t the only group who could care less about the Grammys.

Pop icon Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez skipped this year’s Grammy Awards on Sunday and instead opted for a night out on the town as the celebrity duo was seen dining together at a Thai restaurant in NYC.

As always, Bieber and Gomez left quite an impression on the wait staff.

“They were really nice … and they were very pleasant to the staff,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, adding that Justin and Selena “seemed in love!”

According to Daily Mail, the special date night served as an early Valentine’s Day meal for the pair, as their busy schedules will prevent them from being together on corporate America’s day of love.

And although he won’t be with his waverly wizardress on V-Day, the biebs has no plans on spending the day alone.

Just two days ago, during an interview, Justin shared plans of spending Valentine’s Day on a plan with his mom. Plans with Selena were not mentioned.

Bieber said: “I’m going to take my mom out for dinner, cause you know, we are on a plane on a flight.”

Besides Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, another Hollywood power couple who opted out of this year’s awards show in favor of date night was Beyonce and Jay-Z. The new parents left their baby daughter Blue Ivy at home and were spotted snacking on slices at their favorite pizzeria in Brooklyn — Lucali.

Though Jay and Kanye West won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance for “Otis” from their album Watch the Throne, neither rapper was present to accept the trophy.
