Catelynn Lowell And Tyler Baltierra: ‘Teen Mom’ Couple’s Relationship With Daughter’s Adoptive Parents Reportedly Strained
Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are best known for placing their daughter up for adoption when they were teenagers. Their harrowing story was chronicled on 16 and Pregnant, where cameras filmed the couple handing over their newborn daughter to adoptive parents Brandon and Teresa. The adoption that they chose allowed them to have some contact with their daughter, including yearly visits, but according to a new report from InTouch, things between the two couples is strained.
The adoptive parents did not want their daughter’s photos shared on social media. It seems they want to keep her out of the public eye as much as possible. These are things that, according to OK! Magazine, will play out on the new season of Teen Mom, which is set to premiere March 23. In fact, Catelynn Lowell revealed that filming a conversation with Brandon and Teresa was something that she dreaded.
“The only thing I was scared to film was a conversation that we have with Brandon and Teresa, and it was tough to watch it, too.”
The scene will show both couples talking and strict rules being implemented. While Catelynn Lowell seems to be accepting of not being able to post photos of Carly on social media, Tyler isn’t too happy. Of course, when the couple placed their daughter up for adoption, 16 and Pregnant was just being filmed, and no one knew the impact it would have or that Teen Mom would become such a successful spin-off. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Catelynn has had to endure bullying from fans online, and it makes sense that Brandon and Teresa would want to shield their daughter from any negativity.
According to InTouch, a source explained the delicate situation between the Teen Mom couple and the adoptive parents.
“They’re not happy with Catelynn and Tyler’s behavior and refusal to follow the adoption rules. Obviously, Brandon and Teresa are upset. They’re getting more concerned about Carly being in the public eye as she gets older. The relationship is really strained.”
When Teen Mom was canceled after four seasons, no one imagined that the show would eventually come back. Even when the show wasn’t on the air, the cast members still remained in the public eye, many going on to do other things. In fact, Catelynn and Tyler even went on a different reality show, VH1’s Couples Therapy, to help their relationship. Now that the show is back, the cast has been catapulted into the spotlight once again.
It is hard to say what will happen between the two couples, but a lot of the drama will likely play out on Teen Mom OG. Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra will return on March 23.
