Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Available For UK: What Users Across The Pond Can Expect

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Android 5.0 Lollipop update has finally been rolled out to users in the U.K. The Korean tech giant is working hard to make the latest version of Google’s Android operating system available on all of its smartphones and tablets.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop is currently available for the Galaxy S4 Black Edition devices in the United Kingdom. It was also made available to users in South Korea, says Android Origin. Galaxy S4 users in the U.K. and South Korea that have the model number GT-I9505 can update to the latest operating system.

The Gospel Herald has a different story to tell. The news site says that the 2013 version of the Galaxy S model has several editions that are receiving the 5.0 update. This includes the I9505 and I9506 models, including the Galay S4 Active I9295 model.

Samsung started pushing the updates to users in select regions in December, but the company announced that some of the updates were paused due to some critical bugs that were reported by Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S4 users.

There hasn’t been any reports as to where this Android 5.0 Lollipop update has the same bugs as the previous updates. Samsung has been working hard to delay the update to correct any present bugs with the operating system. SamMobile hasn’t yet reported of any bugs associated with Galaxy S4 users, but there have been a lot of comments about the update.

Gotta Be Mobile mentioned that some Galaxy S4 users are already reporting a handful of problems with the new software. The tech news site has put together a list of bug fixes that may help, but aren’t guaranteed to work.

The Galaxy S4 Android Lollipop is still missing on U.S. devices, says Gotta Be Mobile. T-Mobile still hasn’t been listed in the Galaxy S4 Lollipop update on its list of Android OS updates. There also hasn’t been any rumors or official news of U.S. carriers that will roll out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to Galaxy S4 users.

Users have been warned when it comes updating to the latest operating system. The Inquisitr previously reported some of the bugs and problems that come along with the update. The Galaxy S4 is almost two years old, meaning that it may not adjust well to an update. Not to mention, there have numerous Android 5.0 Lollipop bugs as reported by Galaxy S5 users.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for non-Black Edition Galaxy S4 devices can roll out anytime soon. If you live in the U.K. and you own an I9505 Galaxy S4, please share your experiences about the Lollipop update in the comments section below.
