‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Stephen Nichols, Peter Reckell Set To Return
Days of Our Lives will celebrate its 50th anniversary this fall and it looks like it’s going to be an epic celebration. There have been rumblings of some big cast returns for the big event and now news is out confirming that both Peter Reckell and Stephen Nichols will head back to Salem.
Soap Opera Digest shares the big news. Peter Reckell, who has played Bo Brady, and Stephen Nichols, who has played Steve “Patch” Johnson, will be returning. There had already been some rumblings about Reckell’s return and now the show’s executive producer Ken Corday has made it official.
“They represent two of the most popular characters in the history of the show,” notes Corday as he confirmed their return.
While specifics on Patch and Bo’s returns haven’t been revealed yet, SOD says that both characters will pop up prior to the official show anniversary on November 8. Patch was last seen in Salem back in 2009 while Reckell’s portrayal as Bo wrapped in 2012.
Days of Our Lives spoilers have also revealed that Nadia Bjorlin has been working on a return. Little is known about Chloe’s return at this point either, though so far it sounds as if it is likely something separate from this anniversary hoopla.
Could Alison Sweeney return as Sami for the anniversary as well? That is something she has said all along she would be open to doing, as she had indicated she was excited for DOOL to hit this iconic anniversary and she couldn’t imagine not being a part of it in some way.
The door was most definitely left open for Sweeney to return, and she told Hollywood Life at the time of her departure that she had already talked to Corday about an interest in being involved in any epic anniversary storylines.
Though there had been buzz about Reckell returning as Bo on-and-off for some time now, the talk escalated after Peter tweeted earlier in March that he and the show were officially trying to put together a deal. The soap star asked for everybody’s positive energy, support and love to make it happen, and his fans gave it their all. From the looks of things, the campaign and support worked.
How will Patch Johnson and Bo Brady figure in to the big anniversary of happenings in Salem in the coming months? For now fans will have to stay tuned to see what additional Days of Our Lives spoilers emerge about Stephen Nichols and Peter Reckell’s DOOL returns.
